About My Animals

Hi, I am back.  This time I am going to talk about my animals. I have my own cow; her name is Roise. I got Rosie when I was like 7 or 8 and I paid for with my own money. When I was a little, I had the name and the color, that I wanted. Rosie is a red Gelbvieh and her first calf flower is a cute little thing well she is not little anymore. She has also given me a couple steer calves. this fall of 2021 she gave me a cute little heifer and her name is Julia.

My grandma had been purchasing lambs at weaning and then raising them for the Farmers Market.  It was my idea to start my own flock and sell them the lambs. So, this year I purchased an ewe lamb, and they also gave me one for my birthday. I know it is not all they need, but it is a start.

Now I am very grateful for all that my family teachers me. My grandma takes me to the markets and shows me how to work with customers and get orders together. My grandpa lets me help him fix things in the shop. My dad teaches me how to show cattle and sheep and speaking of showing I had weigh-in in was a couple of 4-H Fair calves in February and in a couple of weeks will be weighing in my 4-H Fair lambs. My mom teaches how to cook, and I love to cook. Now my sister is like the family cheer leader. Well, that’s about all for right now.

More will come later and stay posted.
